Vision
Kincaid Community Library is the source of innovation, information, and lifelong learning for our community.
Mission
The neighborly source for imagination, ingenuity, and information.
Values
Kincaid Community Library strives to provide these core values in every encounter within our community.
Access– We guarantee equal access to the library and its programs regardless of race, religion, language, disability, economic status, immigration status, sex, or sexual orientation.
Outreach– We provide our community with opportunities for programs and information outside the library building. We work with our community partners to further the growth and prosperity of our community.
Technology– We will provide access to technology so our community will be confident in dealing with the latest technology with the future’s global culture.
Customer Service– Our staff will interact with our users with kindness and integrity. All staff will be approachable and have familiarity with the services the library provides. The goal is that each interaction helps complete the information needs of every user.
Ongoing Training– The library will adopt the ALA core values of librarianship and work towards all staff, understanding them. The team will receive training on the latest technology and services. Teamwork and respect for others in the workplace and community will be paramount in interactions amongst staff.
Stewardship-All staff will value the trust the community places in us to use the financial, historical, cultural, and informational resources it provides.
